Broad View United is an Intercultural faith community that fully welcomes LGBTQ+ people, creating a diverse and inclusive space built on compassion and openness. Following Jesus’ example, we work to break down walls and build connections, finding God’s radical love in relationship with the Other.
All are welcome, and we truly mean it!
Going beyond land acknowledgments, we actively work to decolonize our way of being.
Moving beyond literal interpretations of scripture, we celebrate diversity and overcome hate. We strive to be transformative and innovative in all that we do.
We live out our values – walking the talk – and build a world rooted in God’s justice and peace.
We foster a safe, affirming, and intercultural community through empathetic action. We work to combat social isolation and heal a polarized society.
We acknowledge and respect the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Esquimalt) Peoples on whose territory Broad View United resides, and the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. Learn More
Join us online for one of our two unique Sunday morning services:
attempts to bridge the traditional and contemporary United Church worship styles. Both piano and organ music with old and new hymns.
This service celebrates the blurred lines between the sacred and secular and helps us make the connections. Using video clips, spoken word and a wide array of music styles and choices, we seek to consistently integrate these from a progressive theological perspective. A vibrant, interactive, engaging worship experience for all ages.
